Experience the magic of Gemtree – feel the suspense and the thrill of isolation!
With both powered and unpowered sites that are private, spread well apart and separated by native scrub, Gemtree is proud of its natural bush setting. Its spacious park is testimony to the surrounding countryside. Please remember BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL during the tourist season. We are an hour and a half from Alice Springs, so if you arrive and the park is full, there is a long drive to the next park! Water:
Drinking water in our rainwater tank in the park is available as usual, but due to our long periods without rain, we always use sparingly. Bore water connected to powered sites and at various points around the park is available for cooking and washing for all guests. We had the misfortune of having no water late last year when the original bore collapsed! Thankfully, a new bore has been drilled successfully striking a reasonable water supply to service the park.
Sites Powered and unpowered sites are scattered amongst the mulgas – all the required facilities without being ‘jammed in’. Powered sites are $30 per night for two and $12 per extra adult. Non-powered sites are $22 per night for two and $11 per extra adult. Schoolchildren are all $5 per head per night.
Tent Hire For an additional cost, Gemtree has easy-to-assemble two-man tents for hire, with airbeds for $15.00 per tent (plus site fee).
Cabin and onsite van costs : $80 per night for two in the cabin and school children $6, with the van costing $60 per night for two and $5 per child. An extra adult in both the cabin and van will cost $12.
