Campfires are a feature of Gemtree nights under the stars, and fireplaces are scattered throughout the caravan park, some with hot plates. If you wish to have access to a fire place or hot plate, please request this when you book. Each fireplace is placed centrally between a few sites to encourage guests to share and mingle. A glowing campfire is an open invitation to stop and say G'day! Firewood is available for your use for a small fee.

Orchard
Gemtree is proud to offer an orchard of citrus trees to guests. We do ask that you take only one piece of fruit at a time, to allow all our guests to share the privilege.

Children
Gemtree is the ideal destination for family fun. There are a number of ‘kid-friendly’ activities on offer at Gemtree, and our spacious park ensures your children can play freely without disturbing other guests.

We love to meet ‘Junior Gemologists’ and our staff will make sure your children enjoy and learn from the fossicking experience. There are several events planned for children throughout the year, so it could be a good idea to time your visit to coincide with one of these weekends.

Pets
Pets are welcome at Gemtree. Please mention your pet when you book so we can place you accordingly. It is important that you please pick up after your pet to keep our park tidy and keep them on a leash at all times. We have 250 acres, so there is plenty of space to take them for a walk!






Generator Power
Gemtree is now run on full 24-hour generator power. In the busiest months, care will still be needed when using electrical appliances at peak times (breakfast and dinner) - so please try and stagger the use of appliances and perhaps turn heaters off during peak hour. PORTABLE GENERATORS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE PARK.

Laundry: Gemtree has a laundry in the amenities block with coin operated machines;
General Store: Grocery supplies and other relevant items are available for sale;
Gas & Ice:
Fuel: ULP and Diesel;
Pay Phone: (We are out of moblie range) A 24hr payphone situated near Reception - takes cards only - available for sale at Reception;
Internet Access: Gemtree is in the process of hooking the park up to Internet Access for the convenience of guests. Check at Reception to pay for connection.
Hours of Business:
General Store: 8am-6pm daily - 363 days a year (Closed Christmas Day & Boxing Day).
Caravan Park: 9am-5pm daily - * As managers live on the premises late arrivals are able to still sign in (as long as within a reasonable hour!)
NB****From October to March the caravan park facilities and activities are limited and most of the staff have gone so please ring ahead to see if there is anything to offer during this time. The heat (and hopefully rainy season!) create obvious problems. Whenever possible, we will try to help to the best of our ability.
